Spring is finally here and the weather is sunny and clear! It’s time now for you to put away your thick winter coats and take out your bright and light spring clothes. Are you planning to do this on the weekend or have you already done it? While sorting through your wardrobe, some of you might be wondering what to wear and how to dress this spring. Here are some tips for those wanting to be the fashion leader this spring!

There are two fashion trends that are eye-catching this spring. The first look is called “Candy Color Fashion” which literally refers to fashion wear with candy-like colors. We all know that bright colors such as red, yellow and pink are the colors that represent spring. Of course, these will be the main colors of this year’s spring fashion season as well.

Famous female dance group “Girls’ Generation소녀시대” provides a good example of Candy Color Fashion. The colorful skinny jeans and short T-shirts that they wore on stage while singing to their fast-beat hit song “Gee” were spectacular. This fashion is called “Girls’ Generation’s Gee Look.” To dress like them, you need to wear colorful skinny jeans and a short colorful T-shirt with some design. It’ll be perfect if you wear high-heels, but please be careful not to fall. You could also add some flair to your clothes by wearing a shiny belt or a hat. For example, a yellow shirt and light blue pants with a white belt will make a great d combination.

The second fashion that is popular these days is called “Preppy Look.” Preppy refers to young people, especially in America, who have been to expensive private schools and are conventional and conservative in their attitudes, behavior and style of dress.

We can see Preppy Look in the popular drama, “Boys Over Flowers꽃보다 남자,” where all the characters look classic. For boys who want a formal look, wear chino pants and a shirt with a tie as well as a jacket and leather shoes. If you want a casual look, wear a fit sweater or a polo shirt with sneakers. For girls, wear sneakers and long stockings with a skirt and match a lined cardigan with a white shirt. But the important point is that to have a Preppy Look, the clothes should be basic colors such as black, white and gray combined with khaki, brown and beige.
